Seajet SEOSIL

Biocide-free Hard-Coating

Biocide free

Ultra slippy silicone coating

Coating for multiple seasons.

SEAJET SEOSIL forms a silicone based, foul-release system. Fouling finds the ultra slippy surface difficult to adhere to and detaches during the use of the boat.

Paint Calculator

SEAJET SEOSIL is a biocide-free, silicone foul-release coating engineered for underwater hulls in fresh, brackish and salt water.

System components

Seajet Tie Coat – a one-pack tie layer that bonds to properly prepared GRP, wood, steel and aluminium and readies the surface for SEOSIL. Apply over suitably primed substrates per Seajet guidance.

Seajet SEOSIL – a one-pack, silicone-elastomer foul-release that cures to a slick, non-stick skin. Light fouling may settle but is released by water movement or a quick sponge wash. Typical total DFT 150–200 μm (two coats). Use Seajet Thinner A if needed. Clear finish.

Application sequence

Hull – Clean and degrease. Prime/prepare per substrate, then apply Seajet Tie Coat. When ready, apply two coats of SEOSIL with a thick mohair roller to reach 150–200 μm DFT. Coverage approx. 10 m²/L.

Drying & overcoating (at ~94 μm test DFT, guide values) – Overcoat minimum 50-20 minutes depending on temperature; dry to launch: ~1 day. Drying/overcoat times extend with higher film build and lower temperatures. Always confirm through-dry before recoating.

Key features & benefits

  • Biocide-free foul-release – supports cleaner waters while protecting the hull.
  • Slick, low-drag surface – the silicone skin sheds growth during use and cleans easily at the dock.
  • Multi-season durability – designed for extended service with straightforward maintenance.
  • Wide substrate compatibility – for GRP, wood, steel and aluminium (with appropriate priming/tie coat).

Recoating guidelines

Good condition – Rinse with low-pressure fresh water; use a soft sponge for any residues. Let dry, then apply two fresh coats of SEOSIL.

Local repairs / worn areas – Wash and dry. Scrape back loose SEOSIL; abrade exposed tie coat (≈P100). Spot-apply Seajet Tie Coat, allow to dry, then finish with two coats of SEOSIL.

With SEAJET SEOSIL you get the cleanliness of silicone, the practicality of a one-pack system, and the confidence of an eco-minded foul-release—built for owners who value smooth running and simple upkeep.
